Hi friends,
How are we all doing?
Given the absolute shit storm weāre inhabiting, it feels almost ludicrous to ask, but I do genuinely hope youāre hanging in there.
If weāre being honest, Iām tired. I almost skipped writing this issue entirely. The world feels like itās ending every other week and itās quite frankly exhausting. Consider this fair warning that I donāt have any hot takes or original content to offer you at this moment.
Iām taking it easy on myself, and you should too. ā¤ļø However, thereās a list of resources below, should you feel inclined to take action and support a charitable cause this month like the rockstar human being that you are.
Organizations to Support in June
Everytown for Gun Safety: Dedicated to promoting common-sense gun safety laws and holding elected officials accountable to their constituents (not the NRA).
Trans Housing Coalition Fund: Atlanta-based, Trans-led/founded organization aimed at getting folks off the streets using a housing first, person-centered approach.
Fundraisers supporting the Uvalde community: This list includes several campaigns to support funeral expenses for the victims of the tragedy in Uvalde, Texas.
The Trevor Project: Provides 24/7 crisis support services to LGBTQ+ youths via text, chat, or call with a trained counselor.
Black & Pink: Prison abolitionist organization dedicated to abolishing the criminal punishment system and liberating LGBTQ+ people and those living with HIV/AIDS.
Why You Should Honestly Just Take a Nap
The Nap Ministry is one of my favorite Instagram accounts. Their content always provides a refreshing disruption from doom-scrolling and a gentle reminder to divest from capitalism by simply doing āØnothingāØ.
Lest you forget: you are worthy of love and happiness, even if all you do in your spare time this week is lay on the couch binge-watching Stranger Things 4.
If you want to support Nap Ministry founder Tricia Hersey in her work, you can purchase her forthcoming book titled Rest is Resistance: A Manifesto.

Thatās all Iāve got for ya! More original articles and content coming soon, thanks so much for subscribing and following along on this journey.
Rest easy,
Selia
